Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024: The Indian Post Office has again released the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak for 44228 posts. India Post is accepting applications from 10th-grade graduates for 44,228 positions. The deadline is August 5. Eligible candidates must have at least 50% marks in Class 10.

The recruitment drive seeks to fill Gramin Dak Sevak posts across 23 regions. It’s done state by state. For example, Rajasthan has 2,718 posts, Bihar 2,558, Uttar Pradesh 4,588, Madhya Pradesh 4,011, and Chhattisgarh 1,338.

In 2024, over 40,000 posts for Dak Sevak and Branch Postmaster, will open in the Indian Post GDS. Candidates who passed 10th or 12th grade can apply. The age limit is 18 to 40 years. Those within this range and with the right certificates can register online.

The qualification for engaging GDS is a 10th-grade pass. It must be from a recognized Board of School Education in India. It must include passing marks in Mathematics and English. Candidates need to have completed 10th grade local language studies at a recognized school. For each position, Annexure-III details the department’s specific language requirements.

They must be skilled in cycling and using computers. Additionally, applicants should be between 18 and 40 years old as of August 5, 2024. However, government rules exempt those in reserved categories from the age limit.

Candidates applying for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, or EWS reservations must check their eligibility according to this notification. They also need a valid certificate in the required format to support their claim.

Post Office GDS Fees

Applicants must pay Rs.100 for each divisional post application. This fee applies to most candidates. However, certain groups are exempt: women, SC/ST individuals, persons with disabilities, and transwomen. These applicants need not pay the standard fee.

How to Apply Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024

1. First register on the GDS online Engagement Portal at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in to get a Registration Number.
2. To register on the Portal, applicants must have an active email and mobile number.
3. Fill-up all required information and In last upload photo and Sign.
4. Now submit the Post Office GDS Form and pay 100 rupees in application fees.
5. SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, or EWS candidates don’t have to pay any application fees.

After online applications close, there’s a three-day period for edits/correction. This allows corrections in names, data, marks, and choices. If changes affect the category and require a fee, candidates must pay before proceeding. The old application becomes invalid after any change. Merit will then be based on the new application.

India Post GDS Result

The only criteria used to determine which candidates make the short list are the grades and information submitted by each applicant when they submit their final online application. Selection, however, will depend on a physical inspection of the actual mark sheets, certificates, and other documents compared to the information included into the online application. So, candidates must select a Verifying Authority to verify their documents when submitting the application form.
