Hyundai i10 Nios CNG: When Tata Motors launched the first CNG car with dual-cylinder technology in the market recently, it created a stir in the CNG car segment. This new technology has largely removed the biggest concern of CNG car owners, i.e. boot space. Following the same path of Tata, Hyundai recently introduced its EXTER CNG with dual-cylinder. Now the company has launched its second car Grand i10 CNG with the same technology.

Power and Performance
The company has given a 1.2 liter petrol engine in this car. Which is capable of running on both petrol and CNG. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. However, there is no automatic option in it. Let us remind you that Tata Motors also gives the option of automatic transmission in its Tiago CNG.
However, Hyundai says that the integrated electronic control unit (ECU) has been used to improve safety in the new Grand i10 Nios CNG. Which provides a smooth transition facility to convert from petrol to CNG. Apart from this, the car gets projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, roof rails, shark fin antenna, 20.25 cm touchscreen infotainment system and connectivity features.
Safety Feature
Talking about safety features, 6 airbags have been included as standard in this car. Apart from this, features like Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Day and Night In Side Rear View Mirror (IRVM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) are available. Let us tell you that after Tata Motors, Hyundai is the second company that is using dual-cylinder technology in its CNG car.
It is reported that very soon Maruti Suzuki is also going to equip its CNG lineup with similar dual-cylinder technology. This technology includes two separate small cylinders. These are installed at the bottom of the boot. The biggest advantage of this is that you do not have to compromise on the boot space in the car. Hyundai is giving a 3-year warranty on the company-fitted CNG kit of this car.
