Bad Monkey Episode 6 Ending Explained: If you’ve been following Bad Monkey, you know the show’s two main plotlines have been running side by side like two rivers, but now, they’ve converged into the sea, allowing the turtles to follow the moon. If you’ve seen the show, you know what that means. If not, hang tight, and I’ll get to that soon.

In the last episode, Ro found himself cornered by his boss Sonny, who made it clear that if Ro had any clue about Yancy’s whereabouts, he’d be in serious trouble for withholding it from the police. So, what does Ro do? He decides to outsmart Sonny by bringing Yancy straight to his doorstep. But let’s break down what happened in Episode 6, piece by piece.

How Does Yancy Get Caught?

Bad Monkey Episode 6 kicks off with Yancy having a heartfelt conversation with Ro, whom he sees as his “moon” — his guiding light. We find out why in a flashback. Yancy once gave Ro’s kids some gifts, including a turtle for his son, who didn’t like the red lights at night. Yancy explained that the red lights were there to prevent turtles from mistaking white lights for the moon, which they follow instinctively. Yancy then revealed that, like the turtles, everyone has a guiding light. When asked about his own, Yancy admitted that Ro was his guiding light, usually steering him in the right direction. This metaphor suggests that Sonny has misled Yancy, just like a false white light might mislead a turtle.

Yancy’s troubles begin when he makes a pit stop at his house, only to discover Bonnie with a young man who seems far too comfortable. Bonnie, desperate to escape her current predicament, appears to see this young man, Cody, as a potential ticket out. Before Yancy leaves, Bonnie asks if she and Cody can lay low in Yancy’s cabin for a while.

Yancy agrees, assuring her no one will be there. But as soon as Yancy shows up at Ro’s place, the cops nab him for the murder of O’Peele. This arrest, of course, is orchestrated by Mendez, the cop with a grudge. At the same time, Eve and Nick celebrate Yancy’s arrest, believing it solves two problems for them: O’Peele and Yancy. Ironically, Ro’s husband, who also happens to be Yancy’s lawyer, is baffled by Ro’s impulsive decision to turn Yancy in. He calls it “unsexy,” and honestly, I can’t blame him. Rosa promises to find evidence to clear Yancy’s name, but at the moment, she’s not even a credible witness since she didn’t actually see Nick — just his airplane.

Meanwhile, Neville barely escapes a shooting by Egg in front of the Dragon Queen’s house. Neville manages to get away, but his whereabouts remain a mystery until the episode’s end. In a different part of town, a woman and her daughter visit the Dragon Queen. They reveal that James, presumably the family patriarch, gave their land’s papers to the Dragon Queen as payment for helping him die peacefully. The woman insists that there should be no charge for this service. The problem? This land is crucial to Eve and Nick’s construction plans, but they can’t move forward unless the Dragon Queen sells it, even though they’ve already secured the family’s approval. But now that we know the Dragon Queen is involved with Egg, she can easily set up a meeting with Eve and Nick.

What Does Rosa Find?

Back at the cabin, Bonnie and Cody meet Jim, Yancy’s father, who turns out to be a welcoming host. They venture to the river, where Jim once swam with a manatee and received a life lesson. Bonnie, feeling lost and exhausted from all the running, hopes for a similar epiphany. The manatee seems to point Bonnie in a certain direction, which she takes as a sign to give Cody a chance.

But after reading Cody’s diary, she realizes he’s still just a kid, and her involvement with him has been a mistake. Realizing her error doesn’t absolve her of her guilt, but it’s a step in the right direction, unlike marrying Cody, which would have been another mistake. When the FBI agent hunting her shows up at the cabin, Jim and Bonnie are shocked as she flees once again on one of Jim’s airplanes. Even if Bonnie doesn’t want to keep running, she has managed to escape Cody and the agent for now. All she needs is a safe place to land.

Meanwhile, the Dragon Queen meets with the Sterlings and flexes her power, making them realize they’ve made a grave mistake in trying to cross her. She knows their dirty secrets, and if they won’t buy her land at her asking price, she threatens to take drastic action. If you ask me, karma is already circling back to bite the Sterlings, thanks to Neville’s payments.

At the episode’s climax, Rosa breaks into the hangar alone, without her usual partner, the six-foot-tall Yancy. Things look bleak for Yancy, as all the evidence at the crime scene points to him, including a witness who claims to have seen him. But before Rosa left, she confronted Ro about being a terrible friend. Feeling guilty, Ro remembers Yancy’s turtle story and decides to speak to the witness. The witness recalls seeing a man with one arm — like the character from The Fugitive — but Mendez pressured her to leave that detail out to frame Yancy. Once a moon, always a moon, right?

Who Kidnapped the Dragon Queen?

The episode ends with the Dragon Queen getting kidnapped. Given her mystical powers, it’s hard to imagine anyone daring to take her on. The most likely culprits? Nick and his wife, who may have orchestrated the kidnapping to secure more land for free. Meanwhile, Rosa seems poised to help Neville make a comeback, exact revenge on Egg and the Sterlings, and maybe save the day.

So there you have it, the ending of Bad Monkey Episode 6, where grudges, karma, and misguided lights continue to shape the fate of its characters.
