Baby Fever Season 2 Ending Explained

Baby Fever Season 2: Nana is not by any means a redeemed character, as I said in my review of Baby Fever Season 2, and the conclusion supports that. The irrelevantly titled “How Is Mom Life Treating You?” in episode six exacerbates Nana’s psychological problems, which hurt other individuals.

Nana had a good start to the episode as she recalls sleeping with Mathias the previous evening. The fact that he had cheated on his fiancée with her doesn’t appear to phase her. She doesn’t even seem to be considering it.

After all, Hampus is the one who is eager to take on Nana’s confusing demeanour. He has recently been revealed as the new business partner of the reproductive clinic. In an attempt to patch things up with Nana, he brings up the fact that she frequently tells lies to her clients. Naturally, Nana disputes this and claims that she can relate to them on a personal level.

It’s debatable whether she genuinely believes that. At this point, perhaps Nana starts to trust her own falsehoods.

Lucia Discovers the Truth and Nana’s Delusion Worsens

But when Mathias’ girlfriend Lucia shows up at Nana’s flat, things take a bad turn. She wants to get to know Nana because she is a fantastic girlfriend and the two of them have a baby together.

This is amazing that Lucia treats Nana with dignity even after breaking a very serious law against her boyfriend.

Then Lucia notices that Mathias’ boxers are on Nana’s bed. Lucia quickly discovers that her fiancé cheated on her by seeing Nana.

surprisingly, there’s a scenario that follows that leads me to think Nana might be hallucinating. She explains to her coworkers why the business gains by deceiving its customers and concludes that she believes that telling the truth hurts.

This sequence only made sense to me as Nana defended her behaviour.

The consequences do, of course, eventually materialise. Nana takes advantage of Lucia’s declaration that she won’t forgive him for betraying her and invites him out for a drink. At this point, Nana betrays her desperation by asking Mathias to pick her. But he’s having trouble comprehending what transpired.

Nana Tells Lucia About Her Pregnancy

When Lucia arrives at the flat the following day, Mathias insists that nothing transpired between them this time. Lucia decides to tell Mathias by herself that she is leaving the nation and ending their relationship.

Nana now realises that what she’s doing is killing people, and she tells Mathias that they must stop Lucia at the airport.

They also do. At this point, Nana shockingly informs Lucia that she is expecting a child; she believes the child is seven weeks along and has known since the clinic when she gave her a scan.

Adults are subjected to the strangest things by conception, yet all of that is forgotten once Lucia and Mathias hug. Nana turns to go, but Mathias follows, telling her he still loves her and that he wants to start a family.

At this point, I’m not sure how Mathias or Lucia can take Nana seriously. She has betrayed Mathias with an unbelievable crime, hiding a pregnancy to win him over and ruin his love with Lucia.

Lucia was not important to Nana. She was only interested in having Mathias and his DNA for two seasons. She has also shown that she will stop at nothing to obtain it.

Nana’s Potential Redemption for Season 3?

But, Season 2 closes with a glimmer of hope that, should Netflix determine that Nana has a personality, we might learn more in Season 3. Margarete, Nana’s adopted child, goes to see her birth father at the food truck. She tells him that she is his daughter this time.

As I mentioned in my review, there’s a good chance Nana had a father, who I believe the authors are using as an excuse for her behaviour.

This might be the arc of her salvation tale. We’ll find out in time.
