Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have qualifications particular to each position. If the position you are interested in is not listed here, please see the official notice. A four-year full-time degree in Engineering is required for technical professions in disciplines such as Mechanical,
Electrical, Electronics, Marine Engineering, and so on. HR professions require a full-time graduate with an MBA or equivalent in Human Resource Management.
Age Limits
Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Selection Process
GRSE uses different selection methods depending on the position you’re applying for. Here’s what you can expect:
For Most Positions
You’ll go through an interview process. This gives you a chance to showcase your skills and experience directly to the hiring team.
For Assistant Manager Positions
The selection process is a bit more involved:
- Written Test: You’ll take an objective-type test covering your discipline knowledge and general aptitude.
- Interview: If you perform well in the written test, you’ll be invited for an interview.
The written test is tentatively scheduled for September 2024. You can take the test in either Kolkata or Ranchi, depending on which centre is more convenient for you.
