What Happened to Jayce & Viktor?
Jayce and Viktor have an intense showdown in the finale of Arcane Season 2. The once strong friendship between the two is now broken due to their different goals. In Episode 6, Jayce kills Viktor so that he does not use the dangerous Hexcore.
But, Viktor comes back to life with the help of Singed and Embassy. Now with his newly advanced body and determination, Viktor has only one goal-to reach the Hexcore which is hidden beneath the Hexgates. In the climax of the finale, Jayce and Viktor have another confrontation. Jayce makes up with him, but when things fail, the two are engaged in a dangerous fight. Victor traps Jayce in a cosmic trance. But then someone uses their device to disrupt Victor’s plan.
Jayce gets a chance to change Victor and convince him to destroy Hextech. This saves a lot of lives, but it seems that Jayce and Victor both die. But one theory says that maybe both of them went to another timeline, but nothing is confirmed.
What Happens in Act III?
Act III has three episodes—Pretend Like It’s The First Time, Killing Is A Cycle, and The First Under Your Nails. Heimerdinger and Ekko arrive in a timeline where Hextech was never invented. There, Zaun is a utopia, Jinx is now powder (grown up), and she is dead. Heimerdinger is happy with the new timeline, but Ekko feels the need to go back to his original timeline. The two together build a time machine that later plays an important role.
Meanwhile, Jayce lands in a dystopian timeline where Piltover is nothing but dust. There, he shows his city’s dark future if he doesn’t stop Victor in time. While wandering through a Hextech-Vault-like world, Jayce meets Viktor, who turns out to be a mysteriously cloaked mage—the same one who gave Jayce the Hex Stone when he was young.
Is Jinx Dead?
In an emotional scuffle, Jinx, Vi, and Vander fall onto ledges. Viktor’s trance ends, and Jinx tries to convince Vi to let Vander go. But Warwick gets up and tries to kill Vi. Jinx falls into the middle and detonates a bomb, falling down with Warwick. After spending her last moments with Vander, Jinx falls down. She mourns for him, but does not show Jinx’s body. This could mean that she may have escaped from her bomb.
Who Won the War Between Piltover and Noxus?
In the final episode of Arcane Season 2, a brutal war takes place between Piltover and Noxus, and not everyone survives (RIP Loris). When Mel and Caitlyn learn Maddie is a Noxian traitor, they fight to stop the Embassy’s mission. Mel unleashes her Black Rose and puts an end to her mother Embassy, but then double-crosses Black Rose and rejects her sisterhood offer.
Ekko returns from an alternate universe with the time-travel machine Z-Drive and convinces Jinx to help Piltover. Jinx, Ekko, and Vi together turn the tide of the battle, but Viktor’s plan is still working. Both sides’ fighters are brainwashed into Viktor’s cosmic hive mind. Viktor transforms into his League of Legends-esque cyborg form and subdues Jayce. But Ekko’s Z-Drive disrupts Viktor’s magic and frees everyone.
Do Caitlyn and Vi End Up Together?
After the battle, Piltover forms a new council that now includes Zaun. Mel goes to lead the Noxians and becomes the head of Medardas in her mother’s place. Caitlyn and Vi finally consummate their relationship in Episode 8. In a final scene, Caitlyn is seen comforting Vi, despite being one eyeless. She talks about her sister’s grief, and puts her head on Caitlyn’s shoulder and says, “I’m the dirt under your nails, cupcake. Nothing’s gonna clean me out.”
Will There Be Arcane Season 3?
Now this news is a little depressing. A Variety report says that Arcane’s budget was planned for a five-season arc, but Season 2 may be the last treat for fans. Reason? it took USD 250 million to make 18 episodes, making it the most expensive animated series ever! Riot Games may now take this project forward.
